Cal Crutchlow’s debut season will see the presence of a Brit on the MotoGP grid once again, after the Coventry-born rider secured a ride with the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 team for 2011. Making the switch from World Superbikes as his predecessor on the Tech 3 team Ben Spies did, Crutchlow will also benefit from riding alongside the experienced Colin Edwards on the satellite outfit during his first year in the World Championship.
A former British and World Supersport champion – the latter title was won in 2009 with Jorge Lorenzo’s current Team Manager Wilco Zeelenberg at the helm of his crew – Crutchlow will hope to acclimatise to the World Championship scene with the same level of success as he has done throughout his career to date.
