The 2014 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season was the 66th F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Marc Márquez won the Championship with 13 race wins.[1]
Summary[]
Taking 13 victories throughout the season, Márquez won a second consecutive title. He finished 67 points ahead of runner-up Valentino Rossi.
Márquez won the first ten races of the season, before his teammate Dani Pedrosa was able to take the victory in Brno.
In total, the season saw only four different race winners : Marc Márquez, Dani Pedrosa, Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo.
The Rookie of the Year was Pol Espargaró, who finished sixth overall. The second best rookie was Scott Redding, who finished twelfth.
